Whitening Make-up Stained Towels

What's your tried-and-true method for getting make-up stains out of towels? Does it work?

    By coincidence, my brother just sent me a link to a website called "Stain Solutions" put up by the University of Illinois extension. Here's their link to "make-up stains":

    They have different treatment solutions depending on oil-based or water-based foundation (how are we to tell what the guests used?), for eye make-up, for pressed powder.
